EXPANDING OUR MISSION TO REFLECT THE NEW POSITIVE CHANGES TAKING PLACE IN THE HOMELAND ISLAND OF IRELAND
A new expansion of our mission consists of cultural events celebrating our heritage encompassing all the people of the Island of Ireland. The Irish Cultural & Heritage House of PA is our umbrella to promote Ireland as a tourist destination. Since we began the Philadelphia Rose of Tralee in 2002, thousands of Philadelphians have travelled to the south of Ireland for vacations and to support the Philadelphia Rose!
We are embarking on a new venture in support of the peace that is transforming in Northern Ireland and its Border Counties. We are networking with Scots-Irish organizations and Churches in the Delaware Valley to encourage group tourism back to the homeland to support peace and visit the land of their forefathers. We are offering educational workshops on Scots-Irish and Irish Language, History and Arts.
Our mission is non-sectarian and open to all who believe that Ireland and its people have helped to create the measure of peace and freedoms we all enjoy today in the United States. We as descendants are proud of our shared heritage and historic contributions. We appreciate Tourism Ireland who promote the entire Island as a tourist destination which will help to build and sustain a prosperous and peaceful Island for future generations.
